At the Keeler Tavern Museum: The Story of Beautiful Beginnings – A preview

A day rooted in family and friends. Guests gathered from across the country –  from New Orleans and Montana to New Jersey for the ceremony at the Keeler Tavern Museum. A special day with all the seasons of the year but even more – an embracing energy of love, kindness and good spirit…

The morning of the wedding unfolds at home. A hearty get together the night before, family gathers together to celebrate the upcoming union. A slight aroma of bagels and morning pastries, and bit of conversation fill the house. There’s a sense of excitement and joy and love that binds this family together.

About the Historic Keeler Tavern Museum: A Perfect Venue for a Vintage Garden Wedding

Keeler Tavern Museum, nestled in the heart of Ridgefield, Connecticut, is a hidden treasure that offers an intimate and unique setting for an intimate wedding. This historic venue, with its rustic colonial house and lush, flowered gardens, is a beautiful backdrop for a vintage garden wedding.

Vows in the museum’s private seasonal garden, surrounded by your closest friends and family. The garden, designed by renowned architect Cass Gilbert, exudes an elegant ambiance – it is a place for people to gather and celebrate. The carriage barn and tented upper terrace add to the charm of the venue.

The Keeler Tavern Museum is not just a venue; it’s a piece of history. Built in the turn of the century, it carries a legacy that can be woven into the story of your special day. The architecture, reminiscent of a bygone era, adds a touch of nostalgia and romance to weddings.

The venue captures an all season charm, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The classic fall color palette, with hints of deep wine and light, airy blooms, complements the venue’s rustic aesthetic.

The venue also offers an inside space, the Garden House, which measures 25 ft. by 50 ft. and features a wood-burning fireplace. This space is ideal for a cozy reception or an intimate indoor ceremony. For weddings filled with vintage elegance or rustic charm, the venue’s versatile spaces can be transformed to bring a beautiful vision to life.
